So many books so little time

Won this book in a giveaway!

This is actually a bind up of three books Betrothal, Betrayal, and Beleagured.

I have never heard of this author before and I am very impressed by this read.  It has a little jousting, a lot of romance and suspense.  There is like some sad parts and some sweet/funny moments as well.  It's a well written and very well rounded book.

I won this in a giveaway so giving an honest review is the least I could do.

This book was such an up and down kind of read.  The first half of the novel I felt for Rose.  The second half took a while for me to get back into.   Over all this book had a very unique concept and I really enjoyed it.

At first I thought this was going to be very cutesy and cheesy love story....but yeah no it wasn't.  I mean it starts off that way but I wanted more of it.  The main characters Kath and Micheal were sort of flat and there wasn't really a lot on them.  I did like Jamie and Erica though they seemed to be more well rounded. 

Personally I didn't really like this book...I will probably film a more in depth spoiler type video with more of my thoughts but for right now just remember this read isn't as cutsey as you think it will be. 

I received this book in a giveaway and I could not wait to read it.  

It was pretty difficult to get into at first...there was a lot of world building and unique vocabulary.  I found it to be a very interesting and unique read.  I couldn't really connect with the main character but I'm really excited to see how he grows throughout the series.  

It wasn't what I expected but it was pretty enjoyable.  It reads more like a short memoir than an adventure story.  The story is amazing he wrote the whole thing by blinking his eyes while the rest of him was paralyzed.  It's only 130 pages but it's a lot to digest.  It gives amazing insight to someone suffering from locked in syndrome.

I really enjoyed the movie so when I found out it was based on a book I knew I had to have it.  In my opinion the book is just as good as the movie.

There is some major changes that were made so just keep that in mind.  This is such a fast read, a perfect book for when you are in a reading slump.  

This is a very well written romance.  It's main characters have so much chemistry and they are so cute together.  The lot is well developed and the story progressed beautifully.  The romance is well written and the conflict isn't too overwhelming but is present during the end.  It's a super sexy and enjoyable read.

This book goes back to the basics of vampire lore.  I don't know if this is a series or not but but I kind of hope so.  I did have some issues with it.  The characters are very likable and I found myself worried about them and hoping they didn't bite it.

BOOK HAUL!!!!! hope you guys enjoy

So excited for this readathon!! 

I kind of have a love/hate relationship with this book.  However I did enjoy the novel, it's structure is really unique.  I don't think I have read many books like this.  

The characters are somewhat one dimensional but it kind of works for this type of story.  The novel has more of a fairy tale vibe than reality.

I didn't like the ending though.

In my opinion this is very different from the other Nicholas Sparks books that I have read.  The characters are amazing and I loved Alex and Katie's relationship.  I do wish that the book focused more on their relationship instead of Katie's past.

I probably should have posted this during April but better late than never.  Last month was national poetry month and I read these two books.   I love reading poetry because it makes me think more about what I am reading kind of like when I am reading classics. I know that reading poetry isn't for everyone and I remember when I was in school I had a hard time reading and understanding them.   Here are some tips to make reading poetry a little easier.

1.  Read slowly

2.  Try a relaxed tone

3.  Pause at the end of each line.

4. Try reading the poem aloud

5. If you don't know a word look it up

6. Don't skim it

7. Be Patient

8. Try to visualize

Cesca Marinelli is not the usual vampire, she worries about manners and doesn't like to drink in public.  Saver is a special investigator assigned to the supernatural type cases.  

When Cesca's life is threatened Saber offers to be her body guard.  It is a very cue story filled with suspense, murder and a few funny moment thrown in.  I really enjoyed this read.

 I know someone who would rock the crap out of this!!!
